ABOUT DRASNICE
A small fishermen’s village at the foot of the Biokovo Mountain
Drasnice is a small fishermen’s village in Middle Dalmatia with ca. 350 inhabitants. The village is located at the most beautiful part of the Adriatic Sea, which is known as Makarska Riviera. Its distance to the city of Makarska is only 12 km. Drasnice is an ideal place for active or relaxing vacations. The mixture of mountains, nature, coast and islands (Hvar and Brac) invite for different activities. The closeness of the Biokovo Mountain (Nature Park) makes this village even more magnificent. The place is by itself very attractive for nature lovers and walkers, as they can walk to the old village or to the neighbor village Igrane lead by a path through the olive trees. On this path one can as well find several lonely beaches. In Drasnice there are: a supermarket, a post office, a tourist and an exchange office, a bakery, cafes, restaurants (depending on season), and besides that a natural spring with water from the mountain.
